What are Negative Core Beliefs?

Have you ever stopped to notice your mind chatter? You know…the inner dialogue that goes on all day inside your head? Well, one thing can be said for sure. It can either be positive or negative. Whatever your thought or mindset is, it will always follow your core beliefs.

Our core beliefs can be positive or negative, which can lead to different outcomes. Core beliefs are the truths that we believe about ourselves, about others, and about the world. Negative core beliefs tend to be judgmental and unhelpful truths, or beliefs, that keep you in a constant state of defeat and frustration. If you have ever found yourself struggling with feelings of inadequacy, feeling unworthy, feeling unlovable, or feeling like a failure, you may have carrying around some negative core beliefs. Carrying around these negative beliefs can really get in the way of your life. It can keep you from getting that promotion you want at work, from acknowledging your successes, and it can even keep you from being the present spouse and parent you want to be. Why? Because your beliefs become action.
